Should i feel bad for rejecting the deal?

A guy contacted me online wanting to trade me his 97 Chevy Blazer for my decently modded 91 Mitsubishi Eclipse. He sent me a few pics of his Blazer and it looked like a decent car. He drove 4 hours today to come here to trade me vehicles. On the outside his Blazer looked pretty good, save for some dings, small spot of surface rust, and a small dent. The interior was dirtbag filthy though. It stunk of smoke, the carpet was stained from spilled drinks, the seats were badly worn and filthy and covered with cigarette burns. I took it for a drive and the alignment was off, i could feel something in the front end that didnt feel right. There were lots of squeaks and rattles while driving. Then i heard a t from the transmission. I had heard this same sound in my sisters AWD Astro van when her transmission was going out. On top of all this, the odometer showed 26,000 miles more than he had told me. I told him i couldn't do the deal because my car is worth more and i cant downgrade.
