Why Doesn't The Battery to My Camcorder Charge?

If your battery is 8 - 10 years old, the battery is most likely the problem. They only last so long and at some point they will not take a charge any more. I've never heard of a rechargable battery lasting that many years. You definitely got your money's worth out of it. Check on the internet and I'm sure you can find places that sell them at a decent price. It's interesting that that Panasonic battery works with the JVC camcorder. One good tip...whenever you recharge batteries, DO NOT leave them in the charger more than the instructions tell you to (always less than 24 hours), You will fry the battery.
