Could this be a stomach virus or something else?

About an 1-2 hours after I eat I start feeling really sick and queasy in my stomach. And it almost feels like there is hot air in my throat.... hard to explain... like boiling heat coming from my esophagus. Could this be a stomach virus or an acid reflux problem? I'd rather treat it over the counter before I make the trip to the doctor... especially with the flu going around.
