To become a pathologists or any doctor do you have to go to a good medical school like John Hopkins?

I use to believe that all doctors had to graduate from good and well known medical schools to become a doctor in the field they want to practice. Does one have to apply to Northwestern, or John Hopkins, or even Harvard to become a doctor, or can a local medical school do the job?
