Why do the majority of the minorities segregate themselves.?

China Town, Harlem, Little Italy, and Mexicans in L.A., are some of the examples of self segregation. To me most of America's minorities seem to live, speak, and learn as if they want to be outside of the majority. It is the Majority that ultimately rules in a democracy. To me self segregation will only result in racism and discrimination. I'll give an easy example of self segregation. In America a Black person is called African American. Why can't it just be American? In Britain a black man isn't called African American or African British. He's just British!! My family is from Ireland. I'm not Irish or Irish American. I 'm just a American. I don't live in little version of Ireland or speak Gallic, nor do I wave a Irish flag. I love my country.The more we push this idea of racial pride the longer we'll have this problem. The double standard drives a wedge deeper between our peoples. Until we are all just humans on a rock this cycle will never end. Organization like the kkk, and the ncaap only seem remind people that were different. Why? Were not different and the older generation needs to grow up! Thoughts??
