B.J. Cox et al. study?

I'm reading a research article titled: Neutoroticism and self-criticism ociated with postraumatic stress disorder in a nationally representative sample. I'm wondering if anyone has read it, and if so why it is nationally representative. All the information I have is that the majority was 78% Caucasian. Is that enough to prove it is a nationally representative sample?
