Shure E2 versus Bose in ear monitors?

i'm the lead singer in a rock band. i'm looking for in ear monitors that i can use both on stage and with my ipod. i also want to have some sound canceling (either pive or active) technology to help with the ambient noise when flying. i can't afford too much. the shure e2 and bose are about the same price. which do you recommend? any other suggestion for IEMs of similar quality for similar or less money?
